Creating
the stationery for my own wedding was still a little daunting,
even after 10 years experience for thousands of events especially
as we wanted something personal and individual with real 'wow'
factor!
We chose
a stylised symbol of a peacock feather the national bird of India
and a symbol of fidelity and lifelong devotion as the inspiration
for our British - Indian wedding in London.
Rich
aubergine opal card was combined with a bright aqua and ivory
pearl. Tiny coloured Swarovski crystals were used to complement
the embroidered saaris, adding a subtle hint of sparkle. We added
them to the information card map too, indicating the exact location
of the church & reception.
Our
guests received their invitation in a handmade aubergine box,
tied with ivory ribbon, and a little tag, folded up with aqua
tissue paper. Our intricate motif was laser cut on the front,
with a curved pocket for the RSVP & info card on the back.
Real
peacock feathers were slotted inside each folded napkin with personalised
menus. We named tables after concerts we have enjoyed together
as we love live music. Tall place cards were slotted over each
wine glass. Indian charity favours were rolled in tiny scrolls
held in place with ceramic rings. Guests loved all the little
details so much some even took their place cards and menus home
with them!
Now
it's your turn to impress your guests! We hope you choose us to
create perfect stationery for your big day. After all you will
only ever send out one wedding invite!
